Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic TLD is the sole TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken third-level domain names remained working.

Through our firm, you can buy your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special restrictions on who can purchase a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME domain extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your local language.
