A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to inactive email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this problem can be resolved by using anti-spam protection software. It is also important to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound email messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox easily in case you have a shared hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet really user-friendly, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve set up will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will find a small "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it again will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have another mailbox with this option activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulties even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not want the feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
