A: When your current hosting provider can no longer meet the demands of your site, or when you undergo constant network downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the customer service team to reply to you, it might be smart to switch your provider, i.e. to move all the files for your websites as well as your databases from your present provider to your new provider. At LW Hosting, we know that this can be hard & time–consuming. That’s why we will perform all that for you at no cost!Our highly accomplished technical team reps will migrate your web site content from your current hosting provider to us. Our techs have got broad experience migrating web sites and can take care of everything – from a conventional WordPress blog or Joomla^™ CMS–powered web site, to a very elaborate, custom–made web application.

A: While we cannot give you an exact ETA, since there are plenty of factors, among them the physical size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll try our best to migrate your web site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (if the website content is not large).

A: We don’t gather any private data. We’ll need, though, the login information for your old web hosting account along with the name of the web site that you’d like to transfer.

A: Before we can begin the transfer of your web hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share essentially the same details you have provided to your present web host. We also have a very strict Privacy Policy, which describes how delicate data is dealt with.

A: Your site will work just like it did before with your previous web hosting provider. As soon as we are done with the migration, your site will be configured to work on our platform and we’ll ask you to preview it. If everything is working properly, all you will have to do is edit the NS records pertaining to your domain name. Your site will be migrated to us without any downtime whatsoever.

A: While we migrate your website content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t get in touch with them in any way.

A: We support all Linux–based hosting platforms. In essence, if we can acquire access to your Control Panel, we will be able to transfer your web site.The only platforms that we don’t support are closed–source site management platforms like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
